Tell us about yourself
I’m Eugene from Ukraine. I used to be a HR manager, when studying in Art Heroes, but currently I am a happy 3D Character Artist in a studio! I like all kinds of the stylized 3D Art in games and cinematics.
Art Heroes was my first live class, which made me understand a value of the mentorship and regular feedback from pros. Art Heroes was just what I needed at that moment.
How it started
What's the name of your Project? Where did the concept come from? Why did you choose it?
The concpet I’ve found searching Pinterest, it looked challenging for me, especially all that hard surface stuff and clothing.
What were the main milestones for you?
Before taking the program I was pretty confident using Zbrush, but knew nothing about the stylization. My mentor gave me a lot of fundamentals in that sphere, after that I understood how important this knowledge is and started digging deeper.
What were your biggest challenges while working on this project?
At that moment the most difficult for me were anatomy and the hard surface. Instructors helped me with anatomy a lot, and I handled the hard surface by myself.
" Nothing is impossible, you just need to 1- start and 2 - continiue Even if you’re losing your motivation and making mistakes, you should find some power to keep moving, and the final result will compensate all your efforts."
Art Heroes Student
How did you overcome these challenges?
As I said, the hard surface was the most difficult, so I had to explore approaches to make what I needed. Feedback was instant and instructors were always in touch.
What are your plans for the future?
Now I continue studying in different schools and by myself. I’m still digging into the 3D world, having now worked with games and NFT, and I also want to try working on some cinematics. I have “dream” studios I'd like to work in, which are my actual goals, I have a clear roadmap for my development and I follow it.
